Imagine this: A hometown hero, fresh off making waves in the baseball world, returns to his roots to inspire the next generation. That's exactly what happened when former Gator, Wyatt Langford, came back to Trenton, Florida, to host the Wyatt Langford Baseball Camp!
This incredible event brought together over 100 enthusiastic kids, all eager to learn from the best. Who were the coaches? Well, the lineup was stacked! Alongside Langford were fellow former Gators: Colby Halter, Ryan Slater, and Blake Purnell. But wait, there's more! The coaching staff also included Austin Miller, KJ Alba, Jason DeMartino, Randy Early, John Colacci (Owner and Founder of Florida Hardballers), and Kevin Maris (Founder of Florida Hardballers).
But here's where it gets exciting: Langford isn't just any former player; he's a record-breaker! He holds the College World Series record for the longest home run. Talk about power! He was also selected fourth overall in the 2023 MLB Draft, a testament to his incredible talent.
In his 2025 season, Langford showed off his skills, achieving a .241 batting average, smashing 22 home runs, driving in 62 RBIs, and boasting a .775 OPS.
